II. Rights of users and affected parties

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

to confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the processed data, to further information about the data processing and to copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);

to rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Art. 16 GDPR);

to the immediate erasure of their personal data (see also Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, insofar as further processing is necessary pursuant to Art. 17 para. 3 GDPR, to the restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR;

This obligation does not apply, however, if such notification proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has the right to information about these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right to object to the future processing of their data pursuant to Article 21 GDPR, provided that the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for direct marketing purposes is permissible.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, there are no legal obligations to retain the data and no other information is provided below regarding individual processing procedures.

Cookies

a) Session cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your device by your internet browser. These cookies process certain information about you, such as your browser or location data, or your IP address, to varying degrees.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as it enables, for example, the display of our website in different languages or the provision of a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b.) GDPR, insofar as these cookies process data for the initiation or execution of a contract.

If the processing is not for the purpose of initiating or fulfilling a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis for this is then Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

b) Third-party cookies

Our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we collaborate for advertising, analysis, or website functionality purposes.

For details regarding this, in particular the purposes and legal basis for processing such third-party cookies, please refer to the information below.

c) Elimination option

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the necessary steps and procedures depend on the specific internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use your browser's help function or documentation, or contact its manufacturer or support. Flash cookies, however, cannot be blocked via browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash Player. The necessary steps and procedures for this also depend on the specific Flash Player you are using. If you have any questions, please use your Flash Player's help function or documentation, or contact its manufacturer or user support.

However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may result in not all functions of our website being fully usable.

Contact requests / Contact options

If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing this data is necessary for processing and responding to your request; without it, we cannot answer your request, or can only do so to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your request has been fully answered and there are no legal retention obligations preventing deletion, such as in the case of any subsequent contract processing.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps on our website to display our location and to provide directions. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

Google guarantees that EU data protection regulations are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

In order to enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when you access our website.

When you access the Google Maps component integrated into our website, Google stores a cookie on your device via your internet browser. Your user settings and data are processed to display our location and generate directions. We cannot rule out the possibility that Google uses servers in the USA for this purpose.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing the functionality of our website.

Through this connection to Google, Google can determine which website your request originated from and to which IP address the directions should be sent.

If you do not agree to this processing, you can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings in your internet browser. Details can be found above under the section "Cookies".

Furthermore, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is subject to the Google Terms of Service https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=DE&hl=de and the Google Maps Terms of Service https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

We provide further information, in particular regarding the possibilities of preventing data usage.

YouTube

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal of YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as "YouTube".

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google, and therefore also its subsidiary YouTube, guarantees that EU data protection regulations are complied with even when data is processed in the USA.

We use YouTube in conjunction with the "Enhanced Privacy Mode" to display videos to you. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the "Enhanced Privacy Mode" ensures that the data described in more detail below is only transmitted to YouTube's server when you actually start a video.

Without this "Extended Privacy", a connection to YouTube's server in the USA will be established as soon as you access one of our web pages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is necessary to display the respective video on our website via your internet browser. In doing so, YouTube will collect and process at least your IP address, the date and time, and the website you visited. Additionally, a connection will be established with Google's "DoubleClick" advertising network.

If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube will associate the connection information with your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or adjust the relevant settings in your YouTube user account.

For functionality and to analyze user behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your internet browser. If you do not agree to this processing, you can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. Further information can be found above under "Cookies".

Further information about the collection and use of data, as well as your related rights and protection options, can be found in Google's privacy policy, which is located at [link to Google's privacy policy].

Online job applications / Publication of job advertisements

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us via our website. For these online applications, your applicant and application data will be collected and processed electronically by us for the purpose of handling the application process.

The legal basis for this processing is Section 26 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Article 88 Paragraph 1 GDPR.

If an employment contract is concluded after the application process, we will store your data submitted during the application process in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process – naturally in compliance with further legal obligations.

The legal basis for this processing is also Section 26 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Article 88 Paragraph 1 GDPR.

When an application is rejected, we automatically delete the data submitted to us two months after notification of the rejection. However, deletion will not occur if legal regulations, such as the burden of proof under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), require longer storage of the data for up to four months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings.

The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 24(1)(2) BDSG. Our legitimate interest lies in the defense and enforcement of our legal rights.

If you expressly consent to the longer-term storage of your data, for example, for inclusion in an applicant or prospective customer database, the data will be processed further based on your consent. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can, of course, withdraw your consent at any time pursuant to Article 7(3) GDPR by notifying us, with effect for the future.

Use of Vimeo components

We use components from the provider Vimeo on our website. Vimeo is a service of Vimeo LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. Each time you access a page on our website that contains such a component, this component causes your browser to download a corresponding representation of the component from Vimeo. If you access our website while logged into Vimeo, Vimeo uses the information collected by the component to recognize which specific page you are visiting and associates this information with your personal Vimeo account. For example, if you click the "Play" button or leave comments, this information is transmitted to and stored in your personal Vimeo user account. Furthermore, information about your visit to our website is also shared with Vimeo. This occurs regardless of whether you click the component or leave comments.

If you wish to prevent Vimeo from transmitting and storing data about you and your behavior on our website, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting our site. Vimeo's privacy policy provides further information on this, particularly regarding the collection and use of data by Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/privacy
